Out Of Office Reply

This is an automated message. Please do not hit reply. Sarah is currently away from her desk. Today marks the one week anniversary of her daughters broken leg (more technically, a spiral fracture of the tibia). It has been a L-O-N-G week. Iris is quite exhausted (see photo above), but getting stronger every day. She enjoys being hand carried. However, her sleep patterns are quite erratic. She wakes up Mom and Dad by banging her cast against her bedroom wall, which sounds amazingly similar to the dull boom of a Civil War cannon. Good times.

Cast comes off January 9th, after which Sarah will reply to all inquiries. If you need immediate assistance, please crack open a beer and a good book and don't give up on my blogging self completely. January 9th will be here before you know it, that's what I keep telling myself!

Happy Holidays from The Lampesalots Lamesalots.

  1. That wee broken leg certainly isn't interfering with her sweet sleep - she looks like an angel in blissful repose, on her way to full recovery! Now it's time for her mommy to get some good sleep, rest her aching back and worried spirit!

  4. I broke my toe just a couple of days ago! In a skunk-smell induced haze, I crunched it on a chair. If I could get my doctor to agree to give me a cast I'd do it just for the pleasure of banging it into the wall to wake up Jim! Go Iris!! -LA-

  5. Geez LA, you and Mark's description of the skunk smell almost make me think I can smell it way up here. Sorry about your toe, sorry about poor Iris's leg, I am imagining that Iris is one busy young gal....my arm was broken at 5, and I wish I had thought of banging the cast against a wall, she is one smart young lady. 6. Sorry to hear about Iris...there's a lot of lousy health issues going around family & friends. Maybe 2012 will give us all a "break". By the way, for a long time I've noticed a skunk smell at LA's household.
