On October 18th, Iris turned 3! She had a great celebration, with lots of wonderful gifts, cards and phone calls. Thank you!
Iris is sweet, happy, active and independent. She especially loves to draw, paint, read books, play games and bake. She goes to school three mornings a week. She talks a lot about her friends Phinneas, Dominic and Lucy and loves her teacher, Mrs. M. For a three-year old, Iris is quite opinionated. She insists on choosing her own outfits. And God help me if I try to lift her in and out of the car. "
She can do it on her own, Mom," reminds Alex.

Like Alex, Iris loves Spiderman. The other day, I jokingly asked her if she wants to be a princess for Halloween and she replied,
"I want to be something a little more stickier."
Speaking of sticky, Iris's favorite thing in the world might be lollipops. Which means one of Iris's favorite activities is going to the beer store where they have a vat of lollipops at the register. Of course, they always give her one and then ask if she has any brothers and sisters who might want a lollipop too? To which she nods her head and answers that she has four brothers and four sisters who would all loooooove lollipops. That is when I intervene and become largely unpopular. Yet inevitably, when picking her up from pre school, Iris will occasionally ask, "
Can we go to the beer store now, Mom???" Which probably explains why I don't have many friends yet in Jenkintown.

Happy, Happy Birthday to my amazing little girl. Before you, I wondered how I could love another child as much as I love your brother. Now I worry that some day my heart might just pop for the both of you.
What a lucky teacher to have Iris in her class! Incredible how fast they are both growing. Happy Birthday to Iris and keep quoting her.. 'I want to be something a little more stickier' was the best. Love,Karen
