When we first looked at this house I worried about living across the street from the football field. But I made a mental note that the field DID NOT have lights, which put me at ease. At least game noise would be limited to daylight. So I thought. I neglected to factor in that the school might decide to rent non-permanent lights. Ha!
Having the football field across the street has been pretty fantastic, actually. The noise isn't that bad because we are uphill from the field. And the sounds are happy and excited. Since Alex and Iris's room is at the back of the house, they managed to fall asleep last week during mid-game. Then Josh and I brought out tumblers of scotch and sat under a wool blanket. GO DRAKES!

Looks like someone should knit you guys all some hats out of handspun. And some mittens and some toasty socks and some scarves.
ReplyDeleteAhem.
FUNtastic! Home Entertainment at its Finest!
ReplyDeleteWhen I come to babysit however, the front lawn orchestra seats will be off-limits for the mommy and daddy! Must start looking up some theatre tickets for you two!

That would probably be a dream come true for Eugene, he's likely going to want to visit very soon to make sure he sees the playoffs...Love you guys, Karen

Sophie- Yeah the school seems like a pretty good fit, although I don't think there will be any history trips to Bandung though... darn.
